  • Who was the founder of this religion?: Hinduism has no founder, the religion developed out of Brahminism. Hinduism is also the oldest religion still here today, it may date back to prehistoric times.
  • Who are the religious leaders of this religion?: Hinduism doesn't have a hierarchical authority structure or a leader in the family tree in hinduism, as do some religions
  • What is the place of worship?: They have an everyday shrine in their homes. It would be a small room or space in their home.
  • Where did this religion begin?: It developed in India
  • Where is it practiced today?: It is mostly practiced in India, they also worship is a place called a shrine.
  • What are the main beliefs of this religion?: They are polytheistic which means they believe in many gods. They also believe in life after death.
  • Does this religion have a God or Gods, describe them: They are polytheistic they have many gods the 3 most important are Brahma- known as the creator, Vishnu- known as the preserver, Shiva- known as the destroyer.shiva-17.jpg
  • What are the sacred writings of this religion?: They are called the Vedas and are written in Sanskrit.vedas.jpg
  • What do they contain?: They are the most ancient writings in Hinduism and are said to be the writings from god.

  • How do they practice their beliefs?: They pray to their many gods, and they believe in cremation- the dead are burned not buried.
  • What are the religions festivals?: Lohri- The bonfire festival, Pongal- India thanksgiving.P1120051.JPG
  • What are the main symbols of this religion?: Aum is what the symbol os called. It's the sound herd in deepest meditation. It is also said to be the name most suited for God.
